The application counts with personalized, free classes which is what differentiates it from other english teaching platforms. The students will also be able to feel more comfortable because their teachers are close to their age. Classes will be from one to three students per half an hour where they will be taught using fun activities, watching videos and having interactive classes. Activities will help the children learn english because by making classes fun they will want to have the classes where they will learn. The children will be able to level up which will keep them encouraged to continue learning. The platform will have a schedule for the teachers and students so they can see their upcoming classes. It will also take them to a call so the class can be virtual and follow the covid 19 regulations. In addition, it will facilitate the class time availability as it eliminates the issue of transportation. The students will be able to choose their teachers by seeing a small introduction about them and their experience in teaching. Their experience in teaching will be shown as the amount of hours they have taught in the platform, which the platform registers. The platform will keep track of each student's progress by dividing the course in levels and amount of hours. The teachers will have easy access to the class material in the platform which will allow for the teacher to write where each student is at in the course levels. Finally, the app will have an anonymous question section where the students can ask questions and the teachers can respond. Therefore we have a lower price because it is free, the children will not need transportation to get to the clasess, the features in app facilitate the childrens learning and encourages them continue learning.

Bachelor's Degree in Education

Aug 1994 - May 1998

As business partners Miranda Odio and Valentina Quijano have embarked on a number of different projects and of those two come to mind when asked about our previous ‘business’ endeavours. The year they met Valentina, at the time in fifth grade, was throwing a bingo to help children in poverty. After seeing Valentina and her friend in the newspaper the Shark Tank obsessed third grader Miranda, offered her help with the bingo. Needless to say the bingo was extremely successful and a handful of lucky players received beautiful trips to the destination of their choice courtesy of the airline Delta sponsoring part of the event. Other big businesses such as Marriott also sponsored the event. All that hard work was worth it when they were told that they had raised almost two thousand dollars. Soon after the two became close friends and embarked in many more projects some of those include; a kombucha tea bar that sadly did not get through the first stage of development, a franchise of nitrogen ice cream that also did not make it very far, and many more failed attempts to start ‘business’ (most of which still have saved business plans, detailed budgets, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and ‘accurate’ expected returns on each project in their sheard google drive folder). After 7 years Miranda and Valentina are now in middle school and high school and have decided to take on more feasible projects that would still improve the world. At her school Miranda decided it would be a good idea to create a culture club, an afterschool club where young students are taught about culture in fun and creative ways. Miranda decided it would be a good idea to tell Valentina to start it at her own school as a branch of the Lincoln School Culture Club. After some time and hard work with the other co-founders Valentina and Miranda managed to make the Culture Club an international after school club. Additionally they have created and taken up major roles in small business such as designing and selling T-shirts. In January of this year the co-founders of Learn decided to put their business plan experience to good use and started drafting a plan. After a few sleepovers and even more reading breaks the two were ready to start improving the world with their roles as co-founder and CEO’s of the Learn platform. As Chief executive officers Miranda and Valentina will devote as much time as possible to this project in order to accomplish its goals.
